Nancy Katsouras received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario. She is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. Nancy has been a partner/owner since 1990. Over her years of practice Nancy has taken numerous skill training and educational courses. She has a certificate in neurodevelopmental treatment, is trained in advanced upper extremity and fine motor rehabilitation for the neuro upper extremity, and is an Expert Level practitioner in Myofascial Release. She is a trained Myndmove therapy provider (Electrical stimulation), BionessHW200 (Electrical Stimulation) provider and a Saebo authorized and PONS certified clinician, and is also trained in using MPS. In addition Nancy attended the CIMT (Constraint Induced Movement Therapy) training course as developed by Dr. Taub, at the University of Alabama and is experienced in providing this intensive 2 week program for the neurological upper extremity. Cognitive and perceptual assessment and remediation has always been a focus of her practice, encompassing evidence based practices into rehabilitation programming. She is a qualified COGMED provider. Visual processing is a particular area of interest. These areas of interest are reflected in the services offered through the practice, but also the ethos of the practice for ongoing education and knowledge of current therapies and evidence informed therapies and approaches.
Nancy has presented papers pertaining to brain injuries at professional development workshops and annual conferences and teaches workshops in postural control and movement in neurology and the application of Myofascial Release. Nancy has served as an expert witness in court cases and does medical legal assessments, including Cost of Future Care Assessments.
